Caragh Johnson

Following completion of a Diploma in Adult Nursing at Anglia Ruskin University in Peterborough in 2007, she joined Priory Court Care Home in Stamford as a Registered Nurse. In 2008, she moved to The Red House Care Home, where she stayed in the same position until 2014. From February 2014 to July 2015, she worked as a Registered Nurse at Park House Nursing Home, progressing to Mental Wellbeing Lead in 2015, followed by a promotion to Deputy Manager in May 2016. She also worked as an Adult Social Care Inspector for the Care Quality Commission for 5 months in 2019. In June 2019, she was appointed as a Registered Nurse at Peterborough Care, followed by a Clinical Lead Nurse position in October 2019, where she currently resides.

Additionally, she is the Regional Quality and Development Manager at Excelcare Holdings in Cambridgeshire. Throughout her career, she has developed her skills and knowledge by practicing research-based, high-quality care and gaining experience across various private sector nursing settings. She has progressed from Registered Nurse to Clinical Lead, management, and inspection roles within Health and Social Care, attaining a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care. For the past three years, she has worked in a Regional Quality Support role for a care home group, leading team members in delivering high-quality nursing and residential care across the region and supporting management teams with regulatory compliance, operational management, patient safety, audits, and governance planning. She is passionate about maintaining exceptional standards of person-centred care, with a specific focus on elderly, palliative, and dementia care.
