Anna Jacqueline Kwartz
Optometrist
I have written over 220 medico-legal reports on optometric duty of care. I have been instructed both by lawyers for the claimant and the defendant (approximate ratio 50:50). I have also written reports for loss adjusters, my regulatory body (the General Optical Council) and insurers.
I regularly comment on cases that involve detection of ocular pathology (eg glaucoma, retinal detachment, keratoconus, keratitis, macular degeneration and cataract) and also on management of paediatric patients and patients presenting with neurological disease.
