Wide experience in medicolegal work – with formal training in single joint experts and expert report writing, Academy of Medical Experts. On Current Expert Witness Institute validated list. Regular report writing since 1997, including conference and court attendance, with an average of over 25 new instructions annually in recent years. Formal training and wide experience in medically related risk management work, as well as reports for plaintiff, defendant, personal injury, medical negligence, and regulatory bodies. I am an acknowledged expert in patient safety, for which I was awarded an MBE in the 2014 Queens Birthday Honours List, although I later voluntarily returned the Honour for personal reasons.

Therapy areas – general surgery, soft tissue injuries including whiplash, colorectal surgery, oncology, gastroenterology, new treatments, pharmaceuticals, risk management. I am currently registered, fully licensed to practice and am also on GMC specialist register for General Surgery 3076723as well as Pharmaceutical medicine. My indemnity cover is provided by MDDUS M157490 including medico-legal work.
